Mr Samit Unadkat is a Double Board-Certified Consultant ENT & Facial Plastic Surgeon, specialist in rhinoplasty, complex sinonasal and facial plastic disorders. He is one of only a handful of UK surgeons who has met the standards set by both the International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (IBCFPRS) and the European Board for Examination and Certification in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (EBEC-FPRS).
His clinical interests encompass a broad range of ENT conditions, including breathing issues, sinus problems, facial pain, and neck lumps, while his surgical specialties include rhinoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery and nasal reconstruction following skin cancer. He is fellowship-trained in advanced rhinoplasty and sinus surgery, working at the Royal National ENT and University College London Hospitals, the UK’s national referral centre for complex sinonasal and facial plastic conditions. With an interest in reconstructive surgery, he works closely with the dermatologists at University College London Hospital and is part of the dermatology MDT.
Mr Unadkat was awarded the Dr Harold Edwards Scholarship as the top-ranking candidate to read medicine at Imperial College London. His surgical training took place at leading London hospitals, including the Royal National ENT Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital, where he specialised in nasal and facial plastic surgery under internationally renowned experts. He further honed his skills by completing the Royal College of Surgeons of England Advanced Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Charing Cross and The Royal Brompton Hospitals.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Unadkat has contributed significantly to medical research and education. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters, with ongoing research focused on the relationship between functional nasal surgery, snoring, and sleep-disordered breathing. A sought-after speaker at conferences worldwide, he also co-runs the UCL FRCS Revision Course and Rhinology & Facial Plastic Surgery programs. He has served as the inaugural president of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery Junior Members Board and remains actively involved in shaping the next generation of surgeons.
