Mr Shailesh Kulkarni

Mr Shailesh Kulkarni is a highly experienced and esteemed consultant urologist who specialises in male and female urology. He has a special interest in benign prostate investigation and treatment (HOLEP, Urolift, and Aquablation), as well as diagnostic investigations forprostate cancer.

Mr Kulkarni, who has been practising since 1989, also provides a paediatric urology service for the treatment of conditions such as phimosis, congenital inguinal hernia, undescended testicles, retractile testicles, nocturnal enuresis, and urinary tract infections.

Having underwent intensive specialist training in India and then in the UK afterwards, Mr Kulkarni is highly trusted when it comes to the efficient management of the majority of urological problems. He is also the current lead clinician for female urology and paediatric urology at King George and Queens Hospitals.

He is the Training Programme Director for urology trainees in the North Central and East London region and plays a key role in shaping the future of the speciality. In addition to his leadership in training, he serves as a member of the Specialty Advisory Committee, contributing to national standards in urological education. His dedication to mentoring and education has also been recognised through a nomination for the prestigious Silver Cystoscope award, which honours excellence in surgical training.
