Dr Stephen Pearson practises as a consultant in old age psychiatry based in Plymouth. He has a wide experience in the cognitive assessment and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease including the early assessment of cognitive problems and other mental disorders in those over the age of 65 years.
He has extensive experience of clinical research having worked as Principal and Chief Investigator and remains involved and supportive of the research endeavour to develop new treatments and understanding of Alzheimer illnesses. He understands that research is hope for those with dementia.
Dr Pearson continues to work within the NHS, leading the South West Peninsula Huntington’s Disease Clinic, offering guidance and support to both healthcare professionals and patients.
