Dr Suneetha Rachaneni is a distinguished consultant gynaecologist. Her areas of expertise include prolapse, menstrual problems, fibroids, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). She is also highly proficient in colposuspension, cystoscopy, vaginal hysterectomy, and diagnostic laparoscopy procedures.
Dr Rachaneni consults privately at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital and Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Hospital. With over 25 years’ experience, she also practises for Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust, where she is the clinical lead for urogynaecology.
In addition, she also chairs the Regional North Midlands Urogynaecology Multidisciplinary Team and is a member of the research and development committees for both the International Urogynaecology Association and the British Society of Urogynaecology.
Dr Rachaneni graduated with an MBBS from the University of Health Sciences in India in 1996, followed by an MD from PGI Chandigarh in 1999. She holds esteemed membership to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2004.
Furthermore, she also has an MD from the University of Birmingham. Dr Rachaneni completed her CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the prestigious West Midlands Deanery, as well as subspecialty training in urogynaecology from the Southwest and Peninsula Deaneries.
Dr Rachaneni has written research papers and book chapters on urinary incontinence and prolapse. In 2013, she won the International Urogynaecology Observership Award, which allowed her to work as a visiting scholar at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
