Mr Taha Ahmed

Mr Taha Ahmed is a highly skilled and dedicated consultant ophthalmologist practising at Optical Express in London, Milton Keynes and Dartford. He specialises in laser eye surgery, cataract surgery and lens replacement surgery, with extensive expertise in advanced refractive and corneal procedures. Renowned for his precision and patient-centred approach, he has established himself as a trusted specialist in delivering outstanding visual outcomes.

Mr Ahmed holds an MB ChB from Al-Mustansirya University and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He completed 11 years of Basic and Higher Ophthalmic Surgical Training at prestigious West of Scotland Deanery, rotating through 9 major Eye departments/Hospitals in Glasgow and Greater Glasgow regions, followed by post CCT prestigious fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at University Hospital Southampton. Since joining the GMC Specialist Register in 2012, he has accumulated significant consultant-level experience, working within NHS hospitals in Cornwall and Cheshire before further developing his specialist practice internationally.

With more than 4,500 cataract procedures and refractive lens exchanges (RLE), Mr Ahmed combines technical excellence with a personalised approach to care. He is also actively involved in ophthalmic research, with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Eye.
