Ms Tahmina Pearsall is an experienced consultant ophthalmologist with a special interest in vision correction, glaucoma and cataracts. She has performed over 40,000 cataract procedures in her career (over 50,000 procedures overall) and has a wealth of experience in both performing surgery and teaching. Highly regarded within the industry, Ms Pearsall is currently an NHS consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare Trust.
She began her medical career in 1993, before specialising in Ophthalmology in 1994. She then continued her training in various hospitals and clinics before taking up a Research Fellowship at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital in 1999. Following on from this, she gained extensive experience as a refractive surgery fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital in 2008.
Ms Pearsall progressed further in her career from doctor to consultant, gaining experience in centres of excellence such as St Thomas' and Addenbrooke's (Cambridge), before choosing to specialise in glaucoma and complex, high-volume cataract surgery
Ms Pearsall is well-regarded by her peers and is passionate about teaching.
She has won academic prizes both in the UK and abroad and provides lectures to other clinicians. She also runs online webinars which attract over 500 participants and is an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

- 8 weeks post op and the change in my eyesight has been revolutionary. For the first time in 40 years I have perfect vision both short sightedness and for reading. I found Tahmina to be very thorough in her pre-op consultations taking the time to answer all questions and in explaining the process in granular detail. The aftercare was superb. - The so called surgeon has made a relative of mine blind in one eye. The procedure was to remove cataract from one eye which resulted in the surgeon Ms Tahmina Pearsall actually making him blind. A terrible, incompetent and unprofessional surgeon who didn't even show any empathy.
