Ms Tereze Laing is a highly skilled consultant plastic surgeon based in Cambridge, where she practises at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital. She specialises in the diagnosis and surgical management of hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture, trigger finger, ganglion cysts, and hand arthritis, and is a recognised expert in WALANT (wide awake local anaesthetic no tourniquet) surgery. Known for her precision and patient-focused care, Ms Laing provides tailored treatment plans to restore function and quality of life.
Alongside her private practice, Ms Laing is a consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where she leads the hand surgery service and is a key member of the major trauma team at Cambridge University Hospital. Her expertise extends to trauma reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, and congenital hand conditions, and she plays an important role in the management of both emergency and elective cases. Ms Laing is also a core member of the hospital’s skin cancer multidisciplinary team, where she manages both benign and malignant skin lesions.
Ms Laing completed her surgical training in Ireland and the UK, obtaining the FRCS Plast in 2012, followed by fellowships in hand and trauma surgery. She holds both the British Diploma and European Diploma in Hand Surgery.
