Professor Tet Yap

Professor Tet Yap is a consultant andrological surgeon, practising in London with HCA Healthcare. He specialises in a broad range of urological and andrological conditions and treatments, such as male infertility, erectile dysfunction, penile implants and reconstructive surgery, circumcision, and vasectomy.

Professor Yap qualified in 2000 from Cambridge University and trained in urology and surgery in the North Thames rotation, gaining experience at institutions like University College London, Charing Cross Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He completed his research MD at the University College London. He has been instrumental in setting up complex andrological interventions service at St George's Hospital, London and has been leading the andrological services department at the Royal Marsden. In 2014, he was made consultant.

In addition to his clinical work, Professor Yap is an interviewer for registrar selection and is an editor for the British Journal of Urology International. He regularly partakes in commentary regarding male infertility and has appeared in national and international press as the chair of the male infertility section of the European Reference Network.
