Mr Tim Biggs

Mr Tim Biggs is a revered consultant rhinologist and facial plastic surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, specialising in disorders of the nose and sinuses. In private practice, he sees patients with all ENT conditions at Medicana Winchester and provides both functional and cosmetic nasal surgery—including advanced rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty—at the Adnova Clinic in Hampshire.

He has extensive experience in both functional and aesthetic nasal surgery, as well as the full spectrum of sinus procedures. His clinical expertise covers septorhinoplasty, rhinoplasty, septoplasty, sinus surgery, turbinoplasty, frontal sinus surgery, orbital decompression, nasal airway issues, post-nasal drip, allergy, and sinonasal cancer. He also treats nasal polyps, chronic rhinosinusitis, and structural nasal abnormalities.

Mr Biggs runs a dedicated rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty service across the NHS and private sector. He regularly performs advanced rhinoplasty techniques such as dorsal preservation, piezo (ultrasonic) rhinoplasty, structural rhinoplasty, and donor rib or fascia lata grafting for revision surgery. He is skilled in both open and closed approaches and has significant experience in primary and secondary rhinoplasty.

He graduated in medicine from Cardiff University and began his career as a British Army Medical Officer. After completing basic surgical training, he was selected for a National Institute for Health Research Academic Training Pathway in ENT. He went on to complete higher surgical training in the Wessex Deanery, specialising in rhinology and facial plastics, and earned a PhD in Rhinology. He subsequently undertook the British Rhinology Society Advanced Rhinology Fellowship and an additional fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery.

Mr Biggs has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, delivered over 30 national and international conference presentations, and received upwards of 25 prizes and fellowships. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Otolaryngology (ENT) and is a member of ENT-UK, the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the British Society of Rhinoplasty Surgeons. He is board-certified as a cosmetic nasal surgeon through the Royal College of Surgeons accreditation programme. He is also an expert when it comes to revision cases with donor rib reconstruction, and is notably the only person on the south coast who offers this combination of cutting edge techniques.
