Dr Viq Chamoun is an experienced consultant neurologist based in London, with a special interest in the treatment of headaches, migraine, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. Having graduated from the University of Cambridge and then the University of London, he went on to complete his specialist training at renowned London hospitals such as the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and the Institute of Neurology, and gained international experience at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town.
He is a consultant at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, where he set up the Multiple Sclerosis Service in 2004. He sees over 50 patients with headaches each month and has long term responsibility for over 800 patients with multiple sclerosis.
Dr Chamoun is known for his approachable manner. He prefers to inform and educate, rather than simply diagnosing and medicating. He appreciates the anxiety which health matters can provoke and therefore tries to see everybody promptly, usually within 48 hours if requested. He gives ample time to each patient at consultation. He takes a holistic approach and uses interventions for which there is good evidence. He also dedicates time to research and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in medical journals.

- My experience with Dr Chamoun was exceptional. He is extremely thorough and really listens to your whole story, which given my previous experiences is rare. He carefully educated me on the biology behind the diagnosis and was very clear on next steps and intentions. I only wish I had booked to see him sooner!
