Dr Waseem Bakkour

Dr Waseem Bakkour MD, MSc, FRCP (UK) is a leading consultant dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon in London. He holds full GMC specialist registration in dermatology and practises at Harley Street.

He is one of a small number of UK consultant dermatologists with dual post-CCT fellowship training in both Mohs micrographic surgery and advanced laser dermatology — allowing him to manage complex skin cancer cases from diagnosis and surgery through to laser-based scar and reconstruction management.

Dr Bakkour completed specialist training on the North Western Deanery rotation at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, achieving his CCT in 2014, followed by a Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board-approved fellowship in Mohs surgery, laser and aesthetic dermatology. He subsequently served as a substantive Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at University College London Hospital (UCLH) from 2017 to 2022, running the skin cancer service. He has also held consultant positions at The London Clinic and The Wellington Hospital.

He has published a large number of peer-reviewed papers in journals including the British Journal of Dermatology and the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and has presented his work at national and international meetings. He is also a faculty member on national and international surgical and laser courses and a recognised key opinion leader.

Dr Bakkour treats skin cancer (BCC, SCC), acne and acne scarring, rosacea, pigmentation disorders, melasma, thread veins, vascular lesions and complex scars, in addition to general dermatology rashes. He also offers high-end aesthetic treatments aiming at creating a natural, balanced results. These include anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, biostimulators, skin boosters, RF microneedling and HIFU.
