Mr Yousaf Shah

Mr Yousaf Shah is a highly experienced and patient-focused consultant spinal surgeon based in Gloucestershire, practising at Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital and Ramsay Winfield Hospital. He specialises in spinal surgery with particular expertise in degenerative lumbar and cervical spine conditions such as sciatica and arm pain, spinal trauma, and cervical myelopathy. Mr Shah is known for delivering personalised, evidence-based care, ensuring that each patient receives treatment tailored to their individual needs.

After completing his Trauma and Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr Shah undertook advanced sub-specialty spine fellowships in Reading and Oxford, focusing on degenerative spinal disorders and complex conditions, including scoliosis and spinal tumours. He also holds a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University, which enhances his technical expertise and approach to complex spinal surgery. His NHS practice is at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he also serves as Spinal Lead.
