What does an Ileal pouch or J-pouch surgery involve?
Ileal pouch surgery is mostly used to treat ulcerative colitis, or familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) when removal of the colon and rectum is required but the patient wishes to avoid a permanent ileostomy.
