Dr Alexander Miras from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust won the Nutrition Society Cuthbertson Medal in December 2014. For obese people who cannot lose weight by dieting and exercise alone, gastric bypass or gastric band surgery may currently be the only option. But could there be a non-surgical alternative to Bariatric surgery? Hear Dr Miras talk about his exciting research and the possibility of treating obesity without surgery.
