Having had many health issues during my 75 years necessitating many health interventions, I can honestly say that Dr Despott and his team have been by far the best I have ever come across. His attention to my care, availability & skills are 2nd to none. He is also a very nice guy

Dr Edward Despott and his team at the Wellington performed a Double Balloon Enteroscopy, plus a few follow-up investigations for completeness. Communications were great with Dr Despott and his PA (Nadine). This was particularly important because I flew in from overseas.

Dr Edward John Despott How do I start this review towards this Amazing, Gifted Specialist and this Remarkable Amazing Man?. Edward John Despott.. Dr/Specialist.. You are an Angel Heaven sent. Calling you the best isn’t enough accolade Thank you Sir for your extraordinary skills.

Dr Despott saved my life removing the NET in the rectum. He was extremely efficient in arranging my operation, walked me through in detail the pre procedure matters and very hands on in preparing for the procedure. He executed the operation flawlessly and we got the best result.

Put simply Dr Despott is a magician. He spoke to me in detail about my procedure both before and after and made himself available whenever I needed to speak with him. The way in which he performed the op allowed a quick recovery. He also phoned me to update me on results.

I saw Dr Despott for a endoscopic submucosal dissection which is an advanced procedure that is only carried out by a small number of doctors in the UK. I am delighted to say that Dr Despott was able to completely remove my tumour. Brilliant doctor!

Excellent explanation for the condition. Immediate investigation & the help started immediately. That’s how things should always work. 1st UK doctor that don’t tell me paracetamol first. Ongoing investigations so I’m hopeful in his hands

Personally I would avoid the Royal Free, my appointment time was messed up & facilities are quite chaotic. The Wellington was top class. Dr Despott’s secretary is excellent; very prompt & responsive.

I did not have a face to face meeting but a very helpful telephone call. I am awaiting confirmation from his secretary to advise me when the Wellington Hospital will be receiving the special endoscopic camera that has been ordered.

I have had stomach problems for over 15 years and lots of visits to doctors and Dr Despott was the only doctor who was able to diagnose that I had a hernia. He is a great doctor with great explanation to what could and shouldb be done to improve symptoms.

Dr Despot is very efficient, thorough, organised. I insisted to see him in NHS hospital, it took a while, but since then, he booked follow up appointments when needed. He thoroughly investigates and does all necessarily tests. He sorted out my problems.

Best consultant I have seen. Very professional, caring and thorough. He's an expert in his field; I received a transnasal endoscopy without sedation. Put me at ease by his competency and communication during the procedure. Excellent & responsive team too.

Everything was perfect. Very efficient. Well organised. I had colonoscopy without sedation and it was easy. Dr's secretary is excellent. She called me over weekend and replied to e-mails close to midnight to organise and support during my preparation.

This was a phone consultation - "Facility's features" was therefore N/A and you need an option. Dr Despott was extremely caring, knowledgeable and spent far more time getting to the root of the problem than we ever expected in order to suggest a remedy,
