I was amazed at what a positive experience my hospital visit was. I found Mr Plaha thorough in his explanations of the problem and procedure. Excellent service. .

only thing I would say is there us not enough parking at Hartswood Hospital

I had a extremely pleasant experience with Mr Plaha. He was professional and knowledgeable at all times and filled my with a sense of confidence as a worrying time in my life. Especially seeing as I haven't had any type of surgery or even anesthetic every before.

Was made to feel very at ease. Informed well about the procedure. Felt very cared for.

I have no problem with the treatment received from Mr.Plaha and his team,except the parking problem.Any easy way out of this suituation? Thank you

Overal very happy

Excellent throughout, everyone was really friendly. Mr Plaha was welcoming, informative and extremely knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly.

Very helpful and done a great job

Mr Plaha did a hip replacement for me 13 years ago and I am now a returning patient for my other hip. I highly recommend him. He explains everything fully and has a fantastic nature and way of communicating with his patient. Most professional and gentle nature. He set me at ease.

Mr Plaha sought to remedy my ingrown toenails but they grew back worse than ever. After months of pain and infection (and Mr Plaha offering to remove my toenails completely), I had to get the surgery re done by a podiatric consultant. It was far less painful and fewer injections

Excellent Doctor. He explained everything to me clearly and I felt confident that I was in safe hands. I would recommend 100%.

I could not fault the doctor or the service I received. Even as an NHS patient. So much so that I’m now joining privately. It’s a world of difference to the treatment on the NHS and well worth the money

Have had the pleasure of knowing Mr Plaha for over 20 years, he has always looked after me in the best possible way and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to my friends and family for their orthopaedic needs.

I would highly recommend Mr Plaha, he was extremely friendly and informative re the procedure itself and very much put me at ease on the day of the operation. All the staff were great, very efficient and very friendly.

Mr Plaha was outstandingly brilliant in every way. Magnificent knowledge, clearly an expert in his field and with a willingness to listen and discuss. His approach is with genuine kindness, understanding and compassion. Can’t praise him enough.

Dr Plaha is a truly brilliant and experienced surgeon and also such a friendly and nice person. Fantastic service from start to finish. Very efficient, start forward, everything went according to plan. From consultation to being signed off extremely quick. Cannot fault staff and hospital, everyone was extremely nice and helpful.

Excellent service from start to finish. Mr Plaha organised my operation on my wrist on the first consultation so therefore no time wasted .

The care I received under Mr Plaha was excellent

Facilities, treatment and aftercare were first class. Waiting times for consultation and treatment were much better than expected. One gripe would be the lack of information/coordination on the actual day of surgery, causing a LOT of pre-op thumb twiddling.

Very thorough consultation, culminating in a date for my knee surgery. So pleased to look forward to bring pain free.

Wonderful service very helpful and a great Doctor.

Mr Plaha is a very reassuring surgeon, he put me at my ease at all times. The operation, outcome and follow up were all excellent. I hope I do not need to, but if I did I would be pleased to be under his care in the future.

Mr Plaha is an excellent surgeon with a superb manner, this is the second time he has teated me and I would not hesitate to recommed him or consult him again in future.

From the first consultation, through surgery and aftercare consultations Mr Plaha was always sympathetic towards my injury and my concerns about the impact it was having on my quality of life. The hip operation went very well and I am making steady progress with my recovery.

Very happy with the appointments from Dr Plaha, the operation went well and was great “service” from him and all staff there. Only suggestion would be for a walking aid to be provided after operation as I struggled. Still in recovery to know the full effects but so far so good

I have nothing but good things to say about Mr Plaha. He is a very caring surgeon who listens very carefully to his patient's needs. I felt totally reassured by him and he put me at complete ease as I was so nervous. I would highly recommend him 100%.

I would like to have discussed with Mr Plaha the resultant numbness in my fingers following the procedure but it was difficult with the nurse taking the stitches out whilst he was doing his round.

I found Mr Plaha to be an excellent Consultant and would have no hesitation in recommending to others. My husband, David, received a replacement hip by Mr Plaha in March 2021 and found his work exemplary also.

Found Mr Plaha to be an extremely nice and a very knowledgeable gentleman all staff and the whole procedure that I had at the hospital was very good. Just disappointed that the procedure that I had did not work. Not the fault of Mr Plaha though.

Mr Plaha is a lovely doctor, with a fantastic bedside manner. Despite me being very needle fobic he made me feel very relaxed, human and did not belittle my fobia, but joked to put me at my ease. I would recommend him to anyone.

I had a trapezeotomy on my right hand. Mr Plaha is a very nice doctor ,I had every confidence in him. I thought there would be some physio afterwards. I shall make app for aftercare advice

will be a great loss for patients if he ever retires

I went to my first appointment knowing I needed a hip replacement and was dreading it. I knew within 30 seconds I was in good hands, I would recommend this kind gracious man to any of my friends and family.

Early diagnosis of my complaint, and early remedial surgery to rectify. Gave full explanations of problem and benefits of surgical procedure. Felt fully at ease, and confident that I was in good hands, both pre and post operation.

Mr Plaha is a good communicator, and he inspires confidence. Mr Plaha explained the proposed procedure in detail, and his manner left me relaxed.

It was a pleasure to meet Mr Plaha, I felt comfortable and very please to be able to be seen . He wants me to receive physio. I have had to wait nearly 8 months but still have to wait longer for action as I’m still getting no response even after

My Appointment with Mr Plaha was a very good experience all around,as I recently had a problem with my knee, Mr Phaha is very approachable and easy to speak to , he did an operation on my foot some 12 years ago which has been very successful.

Mr Plaha, is an excellent professional, who put me totally at ease . Very happy with results of my surgery.

A genuinly kind and thoughtful man. He also dealt with me 18 years ago when I broke my leg badly. This time during Covid Mr Plaha went out of his way to call me to check I was OK. I have nothing but praise for him and his secretary who were wonderful.

It was a pleasure to have a consultation with Mr Plaha, not only is he excellent in his field but an absolute gentlemen.He puts his patients at complete ease and his bedside manner is excellent.
