Mr Jean-Pierre Jeannon

Dr Jean-Pierre Jeannon is a distinguished consultant ENT and head and neck surgeon based in London. He is internationally renowned as a leading expert in facial paralysis, acid reflux, neck lump, dysphagia, thyroid cancer, and head and neck cancer.

Dr Jeannon qualified in medicine from the University of Birmingham in 1991 before pursuing higher surgical training in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. During this period, he was a clinical research associate at the University of Newcastle and later went on to undertake an advanced clinical fellowship in head and neck surgery at the University of Toronto and the Princess Margaret Hospital in Canada. Dr Jeannon is also an appointed fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and of the College’s Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery section. He is considered as a leading expert in his field and performed the first ever double robotic cancer surgery, removing lung and throat cancers simultaneously. He regularly advises on and receives referrals of patients with highly complex cases. For a number of years, Dr Jeannon held the position of clinical director of surgical oncology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where he continues to serve as a senior consultant ENT and head and neck surgeon. He sees private patients at HCA London Bridge Hospital.

Dr Jeannon has made significant contributions to the field, having published over 80 research papers, and regularly sharing his expertise with the global medical community as an invited speaker at key conferences. He remains actively involved in research and acts as principal investigation on various translational research trials and clinical trials in head and neck cancer.

Dr Jeannon is an associate professor in head and neck surgery at King's College London. He additionally holds key positions with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, serving as a member of the Court of Examiners and as an examiner for the FRCS otolaryngology intercollegiate specialty examination.
