I recently had a septorhinoplasty with Dr Marais. I had never had an operation before and was extremely nervous, especially as it involved altering my appearance. Dr Marais throughly outlined the procedure and answered all my questions and concerns. I liked the fact that there was no pressure and how he has a really calming approach. On the day of op, Dr Marais and his team were lovely and made me feel at ease. The care I received was exceptional which really helped with my nerves. The recovery process was practically painless and I only took painkillers on the first day. I had bruising under my eyes, as expected and this took around 2 weeks to heal. I am now 2 months post op and I am extremely happy with the results. It takes some time to adjust to seeing a new profile and can mentally be quite challenging but you really have to trust the process. I am now able to breathe with no difficulties. The bump which I was always extremely insecure about, has been removed, giving me the side profile that I’ve always desired. I can’t thank Dr Marais enough for his work. My nose looks so natural and I still look like me. I am extremely happy that I put my trust into him and would highly recommend Dr Marais for anyone looking to have the same procedure.

I had my surgery on the 24th of Aug 2022 .Surgery completed from meeting with Dr Marias at Hillingdon hospital to surgery at Northwick park hospital. post surgery re: Septoplasty. feeling wonderful and healing

I couldn’t recommend Mr Morais highly enough. Throughout the whole process he was friendly, not trying to push me into anything, very honest about what was achievable, made sure I was completely sure and answered any and all questions me and my mum had. I wanted my nose smaller but didn’t want to completely change everything about it or look different in the face. I was so happy with how my nose turned out, it didn’t change my face at all, I still looked like me and the nose reduced in size a lot. The surgery itself was short and the anaesthetist was really friendly and funny, he also put my cannula in whilst I was unconscious as I am afraid of needles. The only bad thing I would say about the process was the after effects of the anaesthetic, I was quite ill and had to stay in hospital for a few more hours than usual. Oh and the itching from the nose tape under the bandages! It was relatively painless, I wasn’t sore after the surgery and I only took paracetamol for the first 2 days. The only time it was sore was after all bandages came off. I’m around 8 weeks post op, still a little numb in the tip of the nose and a little sore when I wear my glasses for long periods (this is normal and was due to what I had done in the surgery.) I believe the price was really reasonable and I am so so so glad I had it done. It has boosted my confidence immensely and I am no longer trying to hide my side profile. Thank you so much Mr Morais!

Mr Marais took time to explain my problem and options for treatment. He was reassuring, skilled and very caring. Sinus surgery went well. I can breathe through my nose and smell again. Recovery was quick and no pain after I left hospital (1 night stay).

We came to see Mr Marais for a septoplasty for our daughter a few weeks ago. He came highly recommended to us and deciding to go ahead with the operation with Mr Marais was the best decision we ever made. We couldn’t be happier with the final outcome and the way we were looked after. We were nervous about the procedure but Mr Marais immediately put our minds at rest with his friendly and reassuring manner and we felt in very safe hands right from the start. I had a septorhinoplasty done by Dr Marais just over a month ago and I couldn't be happier with the results. I can not only breathe so much better but my nose looks amazing! The whole recovery process was so much easier than I thought it would be!

I had severe nasal polyps for 5 years. Being extremely nervous of surgery I looked at every possible alternative. The surgery proved to be very straightforward and gave instant relief. I would strongly recommend this course of action

My son had a septorhinoplasty performed by Mr Marais in January 2020. All went well with no complications and my son is very happy with the result.

I had a deviated septum surgery performed by Mr Marais. All went very well and as expected. Excellent care provided by Mr Marais before, during and after the op

Only minor issue I had was the lack of Wifi in the room I was in prior to and following the operation. Impressed with all treatment and care provided throughout

My daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed a month ago. Dr Marais and his team were brilliant and they did everything to make my three year old comfortable. The operation went well and we were discharged in the same day. The recovery was very fast and not as painful as I expected. She was on regular painkillers for a week and eating and drinking was fine. She didn’t lose any wait and she didn’t develop any complication. Since the operation, she’s been sleeping very well, no snoring or sleep apneas. She’s been also eating much better and her breathing has improved a lot. It’s been life changing for all family as we can all sleep now. I think it was the best decision we have ever made for our daughter. I would definitely do it again.

I have just had a septoplasty which was long over due. Clearly explained what was going to happen. Surgery was not an issue and generally pain free in 24 hours
