Mary Murphy earned her medical degree from Trinity College Medical School, Dublin, in 1995. Ms Murphy also has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and authored books. As an editor for the 'Surgery' journal and member of the Society of British Neurology Surgeons Council, she remains actively involved in advancing the field of neurosurgery.
