The Queen Square (Gamma Knife) Radiosurgery Centre is one of two (alongside the Sheffield-based Thornbury Radiosurgery Centre clinic) highly specialised and exceptionally regarded National Centres of Excellence in the UK when it comes to offering patients Gamma Knife surgery. The clinic was established in 2012 and officially joined the Amethyst Group in 2020.
Led by revered consultant neurosurgeon, Mr Neil Kitchen, the Queen Square Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Centre offers its patients a dedicated private patient as well as international referral treatment service for conditions such as epilepsy, secondary metastatic brain tumours, trigeminal neuralgia, cavernoma, arteriovenous malformation, pituitary tumours, as well as various skull-based tumours including meningioma, acoustic neuroma, and vestibular schwanomma.
Notably, the Queen Square Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Centre also offers a paediatric radiosurgery service, in collaboration with the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. The clinic prides itself on its ability to provide its patients with life-saving and life-extending treatment options under the expert care of leading neurosurgeons.
