Mr Sam Evans is a leading consultant ophthalmologist, with over 15 years of experience, based in Plymouth and Carmarthenshire. Mr Evans initially trained in the South West of England before relocating to Wales in 2009. Together with fellow ophthalmologists, he co-developed the SP.eye intravitreal injection device, revolutionising the injection process to be highly efficient, safe, and comfortable compared to traditional techniques. Notably, it stands as the world's first of its kind. Additionally, he introduced the enVoi™ app, facilitating self-referral for surgery consultations from the comfort of the patient’s home, reducing hospital visits to just one for the surgery itself.
