He specialises in knee and hip replacement surgery, as well as sports-related injuries (including anterior cruciate ligament and meniscal injuries plus knee revision) to the knee. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Bristol and completed his specialist orthopaedic training in London, as part of the North West Thames Orthopaedic Rotation, based at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. His NHS and private practice in Plymouth involves advanced procedures such as ligament reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery, navigated knee replacements, partial knee replacements, high tibial osteotomy, and total hip replacement. He remains actively involved in clinical research, exploring the use of synthetic ligaments and computer-assisted planning for joint replacement.
Mr Coleridge currently consults at Derriford Hospital (NHS) and Nuffield Health Hospital in Plymouth. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association for Surgery of the Knee.
