Generally pleased with my quality of care and friendliness of staff. I preferred the facilities at the Three Shires Hospital over those at the Glendon Wood Hospital which I found quite claustrophobic and impersonal. Follow up and information from Mr McMullan clear and timely.

The procedure was thoroughly explained and carried out with swift precision. My recovery was fast, little bruising or swelling appeared so I really only had to focus on massaging the incision. The cold gel pads were a must to ease the itching. Overall an excellent experience.

A little strange at Woodland that my husband couldn't wait in my outpatient room with me - he was there to support me after all - but was allowed to collect me from the same room after the procedure. He had to wait in reception for four hours! Mr McMullan, though, is fantastic.

The doctor , nursing staff and general staff were first class. The Out patient dept was tricky to find ,mainly due to very poor signage. There were not enough seats in waiting area to accommodate accompanying person ( required to drive me home) The room could be more welcoming.

All ok, but a strange world of "hybrid" health care, ie, some NHS, some private. This isn't a criticism of my care here, it's just that the patient has to be such an advocate and participant in care, but it's nowhere as fragmented as dentistry! Best wishes, John Tindall
