Dr Sehgal’s competencies as a doctor go beyond his technical knowledge and medical instincts - which are not to be understated - but rather are in his ability to show a genuine concern for your issues and see you not just as a set of labs and investigation results, but as a full person with a life outside of your health condition. Seeing him at The London Clinic meant there was huge continuity with my care. When it’s the same person seeing you at consultation as it is carrying out an endoscopy, follow up, and in my case - a TIF procedure - it’s incredibly reassuring. When it came to the TIF, I could not have felt in better hands. The London Clinic is a calm environment where the staff have lots of time and are not in a rush. While I was in the hospital, I got a phonecall following the surgery, and a visit the following morning. I ended up staying for an extra night, and got a call in the evening and a visit the following morning. He also called me twice in the week following my discharge to answer questions I had and reassure me as to what was normal. I have been continuously humbled by his kindness and dedication to patient care. I am now roughly 30% of the PPI dose I was on before, asymptomatic, and able to eat foods that would have made me feel horrendously sick in the past. The plan is to come off PPIs completely in the next few days.
