We explored the debate around immunising children against Covid-19 with guests Professor Beate Kampmann, Director of The Vaccine Centre at LSHTM and Professor Russell Viner, Professor of Adolescent Health at the UCL Institute of Child Health in London. Chaired by Dr Margarita Burmester, President of the RSM’s Paediatrics and Child Health Section, the panel covered issues including the potential risks posed to children by Covid-19 and the vaccine, their role in community transmission, and the ethical questions surrounding vaccine equity and global need.
