Dr von Hohenstaufen Puoti graduated with an MD, MBBS in in Milan in 2004, subsequently specialising in haematology at the Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico (Maggiore Policlinico Hospital) in Milan in 2009, obtaining top marks and honours. After working as a haematologist specialist at the same hospital, focusing primarily on chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and research, Dr von Hohenstaufen Puoti received a fellowship from the European School of Oncology.

She spent 4 years at the Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland, working in the lymphoma unit for a year and then in the haematology department, taking on the role of senior haematologist.

Subsequently, she continued her career as a clinical research fellow and senior fellow in the United Kingdom, dedicating herself to clinical and laboratory care and research, both at the University of Leeds and the University of Southampton.

During her time at the Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland, Dr von Hohenstaufen Puoti acquired significant experience in diagnostic methods in oncohaematology, working on morphology-flow cytometric and integrated diagnostics.

She is the author and co-author of conference abstracts, reviews and original articles and has been a reviewer for international scientific journals. She is licensed to practice medicine as a haematologist specialist in Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
