Professor Lennard Funk is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in shoulder surgery. Based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, Professor Funk offers a one-stop clinic offering immediate scans and assessments for patients with shoulder injuries and diseases.

After qualifying in medicine in 1990, Professor Funk pursued specialist orthopaedic training in clinics across the north of England, and became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons in Glasgow in 1995. He was appointed consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Wrightington Hospital in 2006. 

Professor Funk regularly works with professional atheletes and rugby players in particular. In addition to his surgical qualifications, he is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports & Exercise Medicine UK and holds a BSc in Sports Physiology and an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering. He lectures nationally and internationally on shoulder surgery and sports injuries, established the most popular shoulder injury website in the UK, and holds Honorary Professorships at Salford University and the University of Bolton.
