Miss Marta Hovan

Professional statement

Miss Marta Hovan is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon in Warrington who specialises in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. Miss Hovan has experience in performing high-volume cataract surgery and complex anterior segment reconstruction. 

Following medical and specialist training in both Hungary and the UK, Miss Hovan attained her fellowship with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. She completed her subspecialist fellowship training in the medical retina at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and in glaucoma at The Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. 

Miss Hovan teaches both medical students at the University of Liverpool and trainee doctors for the Mersey Deanery. She is a faculty member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists microsurgical skills course.
