Professor Max Fehily is a highly-skilled consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Manchester, who specialises in surgery of the hip and knee. He holds a particular interest in the young athlete with soft-tissue hip problems as well as complex hip replacement surgery in the older patient.

As one of the leading hip arthroscopy surgeons in the UK, Professor Fehily performs over 160 of these procedures a year. He has designed a rehabilitation program that compliments the surgery. He regularly treats high-level athletes, from amateurs to Commonwealth, World Championship, Olympic to Premier League competitors.

Professor Fehily treats patients from all over the UK and internationally. He is the lead Hip Surgeon for the Hip and Groin Clinic, for the English Institute of Sport (Manchester) for the Armed Forces (northern) and is a registered consultant in the United Arab Emirates.

He is the lead on lots of surgeon education courses and trains other consultants in both keyhole and hip replacement techniques. As a keen educator, Professor Fehily leads a Master’s program at Salford University and has published many papers in peer-reviewed journals.
