Dr Phillip Mayhead

Dr Phillip Mayhead is a highly respected consultant gastroenterologist based in Hastings at Sussex Premier Health. He is renowned for his expertise in providing various forms of advanced endoscopy, as well as conditions including reflux, dyspepsia and liver disease, amongst others.

Dr Mayhead spent some time in Australia as a trainee but concluded his specialist training in the south east of England. He has extensive expertise in bowel cancer screening (BCS) and is an examiner for the national BCS programme. He is an accredited bowel cancer screener and performs a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and biliary endoscopy.
