Miss Roshni Patel

Professional statement

Miss Roshni Patel is an experienced consultant obstetrician based in London at the Kensington Maternity Wing at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Miss Patel has a particular focus on fetal and maternal medicine, including high risk maternal medicine, and is the clinical lead for the antenatal maternal cardiac service at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

 Miss Patel achieved her medical qualification from the University of Bristol in 1995, and went on to specialise in fetal and maternal medicine where she completed training in South Africa and Asia. Following this, Miss Patel completed an MSc in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, as part of a fellowship in Clinical and Academic Training. She completed a thesis comparing the gestational length in different ethnic groups, and went on to achieve a PhD in obstetric epidemiology.

Miss Patel dedicates time to training and education, and has a Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals. Miss Patel has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed medical journals, and has presented her work both nationally and internationally.
