Mr Sekhar Marla is a leading oncoplastic breast surgeon with over 15 years of experience, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Mr Marla is highly experienced in a wide range of oncoplastic breast treatments and procedures, with his areas of expertise including breast cancer treatments, oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, implant-based breast reconstruction, risk-reducing mastectomy, benign breast lumps and nipple discharge. 
 
Mr Marla first qualified with an MBBS from The University of Delhi in 1997, before going on to receive his General Surgery Residency Master’s degree from the Maulana Azad Medical College. He pursued further education in the UK, with an MSc in Medical Sciences from the University of Glasgow and an FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons. He consolidated his knowledge of breast cancer by participating in a Travelling Fellowship to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
 
Mr Marla currently practices at the Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital. He is also the Multidisciplinary Team Lead for Breast Cancer Services at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. He has worked as an NHS surgeon since 2010.
 
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Marla has also made a significant contribution to medical literature, having published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. He also tutors breast surgery students at Keele University.
