Mr Suliman El-Shunnar is an experienced ear, nose and throat consultant at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital. He specialises in hoarseness, disorders of nasal breathing, neck lumps, chronic cough, ear infection and thyroid disorders.
Mr El-Shunnar graduated in medicine from Trinity College Dublin in 2007, earning an honour’s degree. During his early career as a junior doctor in the Oxford region, he developed a keen interest in ENT Surgery.
After completing specialised training at UK centres, Mr El-Shunnar went on to undertake a fellowship in endoscopic sinus surgery and head and neck cancer surgery in Auckland, New Zealand. He joined the GMC's specialist register for otolaryngology in 2019 and later assumed consultancy roles, including serving as Clinical Director for ENT at a Midlands hospital group.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr El- Shunnar engages in research and teaching, presenting nationally and internationally, publishing peer-reviewed papers, and contributing to medical education at the Universities of Warwick and Buckingham. He actively participates in patient safety reviews and investigations as part of his role on the South Warwickshire elective division governance board.
