In her latest online article, consultant advanced aesthetic medicine specialist Dr Tracy Xu offers her expert insight into the revolutionary new anti-ageing treatmentThermage FLX. She answers her patients’ most frequently asked questions, revealing the numerous benefits of this treatment.

What exactly is Thermage FLX?

Thermage FLX represents a breakthrough in skin tightening technology, harnessing the power of radio frequency (RF) to rejuvenate your skin. It stands as the pinnacle of skin-tightening advancements, offering unparalleled efficacy.

How does Thermage FLX work its magic?

Through targeted application of radio frequency energy, Thermage FLX penetrates the layers of collagen in your skin, prompting them to contract. This contraction leads to remarkable tightening, effectively reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and restoring youthful vitality to your skin.

What can Thermage FLX address?

Thermage FLX isn't just a solution; it's a comprehensive answer to various skin concerns. Whether you're combatting signs of ageing, or dealing with loose or sagging skin on your face, abdomen, or thighs, Thermage FLX delivers instant lifting and contouring for a visibly rejuvenated appearance.

How many sessions are needed for optimal results?

Remarkably, Thermage FLX boasts impressive efficacy with just a single treatment session. As the treatment stimulates the growth of new collagen, the skin continues to tighten over the following six months. This ensures continuously improving results.

How long will the results last?

Anticipate enjoying the benefits of Thermage FLX for a substantial period, with results typically lasting between 12 to 18 months. The longevity of results may vary depending on individual skin conditions and daily skincare routines.

What aftercare treatments are recommended?

To maximise and prolong the results of your Thermage FLX treatment, consider complementing it with our Profhilo treatment - a synergistic approach to maintaining youthful, tightened skin.

Is the Thermage FLX treatment uncomfortable?

While the treatment involves the application of heat, Thermage FLX incorporates a cooling tip to mitigate discomfort. Reports of any discomfort during the procedure are minimal, ensuring a relatively comfortable experience.

Are there any potential side effects to be aware of?

In the immediate aftermath of treatment, mild redness and minor swelling may occur within the first 24 hours.

Who can benefit from Thermage FLX?

Ideal for individuals exhibiting signs of ageing, typically ranging from their 30s to mid-50s, Thermage FLX offers a non-surgical alternative for those seeking skin rejuvenation without downtime.
