Mr Andrei Ilczyszyn is an esteemed consultant bariatric and upper GI surgeon at Ramsay Winfield Hospital. He specialises in bariatric surgery, hiatal hernia, acid reflux, gallbladder surgery, abdominal hernia surgery and endoscopy. He graduated from St George's Hospital Medical School, London in 2006 and completed his higher surgical training in North East Thames. He undertook a two-year fellowship in metabolic bariatric surgery at the prestigious Centre for Weight Management and Metabolic Surgery, University College London Hospital.
Mr Ilczyszyn’s clinical interests include oesophageal benign disease, oesophageal physiology, and minimally invasive general surgery. He is particularly focused on minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, covering metabolic bariatric (weight loss) surgery, anti-reflux, and hiatus hernia surgery.
Mr Ilczyszyn introduced the LINX magnetic sphincter augmentation device in Gloucestershire, showcasing his interest in innovative approaches with positive results.
