Mr Fortune Iwuagwu is an extremely experienced and well-regarded consultant plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgeon who practises at a host of different locations in London and Essex. His main areas of expertise include breast reduction surgery, abdominoplasty, gynaecomastia, liposuction, hand injuries, hand nerve repair surgery, and scars.
Mr Iwuagwu is also a consultant in one of the largest plastic surgery NHS units in Europe (St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery, Broomfield Chelmsford) where he currently performs complex microsurgical reconstruction of the hands and lower limbs for both trauma and elective pathologies. He also specialises in skin cancer, skin moles, trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, lipoma, dupuytren’s disease and tuberous breast correction.
Mr Iwuagwu is the lead reconstructive plastic surgeon at Whipps Cross University Hospital, London, where he has developed the breast reconstruction service following mastectomy for cancer. Not only that, but he also helped establish a plastic surgery hand clinic at Whipps Cross University Hospital.

From my first consultant with Mr Iwuagwu to now being discharge from him, the care I have received has been five star. Mr Iwuagwu explained very clearly all the stages of the surgery and was interested in me as a person not just a patient. He has a reassuring and calming manner which put me at ease from the outset. He was happy to go into the necessary detail to explain the procedure and what to expect. He also reassured me that there would be as much post-surgery consultation as necessary and even came into a routine check-up at short notice to answer some further post-surgery questions I had, and again put my mind at ease. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Iwaguawu to anyone considering or needing his specialist surgery.
