Professor George Ikkos is a highly esteemed consultant psychiatrist based in Central and North London (at 10 Harley Street, and Wellington Diagnostic and Outpatient Centre HCA). He has special interests in anxiety, OCD, stress, trauma, depression and co-existing physical and mental health problems and chronic pain. Known for his approachability and his dedication to his patients, he was awarded a National NHS Clinical Excellence Award and a Local NHS Staff Excellence Award for his service to Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust. Professor Ikkos has served as President of the Royal Society of Medicine Psychiatry and Pain Medicine Sections and was elected Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2014. He has trained hundreds of psychiatrists and been commended by the London Deanery for his leading role in medical education. He has also lived in Sweden, Greece, Canada and Scotland and speaks fluent Greek.
