Dr Janet Holder is a fully accredited Consultant Dermatologist based in Basingstoke with over 30 years’ experience. She specialises in skin cancer, pre-cancerous lesions and mole assessments, and offers removal of benign and malignant skin lesions. Her interests also include inflammatory diseases such as eczema and psoriasis, acne and rosacea, and the management of keloid scars.

Dr Holder qualified at the University of the West Indies in 1985, obtained a Diploma in Dermatology with distinction from the University of London and went on to complete her specialist dermatology training, having worked at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology St Thomas’ Hospital, Leicester Royal Infirmary, Walsgrave Hospital and the Royal London Hospital.

She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2001 and was awarded a Diploma in the management of Allergic diseases from the University of Southampton in 2002. Dr Holder has over 20 years of experience as a Consultant Dermatologist, initially at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and then the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust. She has been at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Trust since 2009 and has been the Skin Cancer Lead since 2010. She additionally runs an NHS clinic for difficult inflammatory conditions, mainly eczema and psoriasis, requiring systemic treatment.

She works closely with Colleagues within Hampshire and the wider regional network to ensure the best patient outcomes.
