Dr Paula Wells is a leading consultant clinical oncologist based in London. She specialises in genitourinary (bladder and prostate) and thoracic (lung and mesothelioma) malignancies where she delivers both chemotherapy and state of the art radiotherapy treatments including stereotactic radiotherapy using the Cyberknife® platform. She is expert in the delivery of prostate brachytherapy for patients with prostate cancer and stereotactic radiotherapy for both early stage lung cancer and oligo-metastatic disease arising from any cancer site. Currently, she divides her time working as a consultant clinical oncologist at the prestigious Leaders in Oncology Care and St Bartholomew's Hospital. She has held a leadership role in the development of treatment pathways and multidisciplinary working in both lung and genitourinary cancers over the last 17 years as a consultant at Barts Health and is also a member of the London Cancer Lung Pathway Board. Having attained a PhD from Imperial College, London in 2001 she continues to pursue her academic interests as Principle Investigator in a number of clinical trials thus giving patients access to cutting edge therapies. Her focus is to optimise the patient experience throughout their treatment pathway and beyond as she also has a specialist interest in developing "Living With and Beyond Cancer" programmes post treatment.
