Dr Peter Finigan is a highly esteemed and experienced clinical practitioner specialising in vascular medicine. His main areas of expertise include varicose veins, varicose veins surgery, non-surgical treatment of varicose veins, endovascular surgery, endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), as well as deep vein thrombosis. He is, at present, the chief medical director at UK Vein Clinic.
Dr Finigan was responsible for designing the thread vein care pathway at the UK Vein Clinic, and currently leads the thread vein team in London, Manchester, and Thames Valley. Notably, he recently co-founded the UK Vein Clinic in London and Manchester, exclusively dedicated to the treatment of varicose veins using modern, minimally invasive treatment methods that produce world class outcomes for patients suffering from this condition.
Dr Finigan successfully completed an MBBS in medicine in 1992 at the University of Liverpool, completing part of his studies at America’s prestigious Mayo Clinic. After this, he held a position at Royal Liverpool University Hospital Trust, before going on to establish himself in several surgical specialities such as general surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery, as well as emergency medicine. He is also a founding partner of The Stamford Clinic.
