Mr Stefan Niculescu

Mr Stefan Niculescu is a leading consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Yorkshire. He specialises in hip replacement, hip arthritis and osteoarthritis, as well as hip pain, knee replacement and knee arthritis.
 
Mr Niculescu studied medicine at in Romania, before pursuing further training and moving to the UK, where he began to practice in 2013. He underwent specialist complex hip and knee surgery fellowship training at Oxford University Hospitals, a world renowned centre of clinical excellence  

Furthermore, in 2017, he held the postion of revision arthroplasty visiting fellow at Helios ENDO-Klinik Hamburg, European centre of excellence for revision hip and knee replacement.  

He takes a special interest in knee surgery offering treatment for sports injuries as well as arthritis. He performs knee infiltrations, arthroscopy, cartilage and meniscal repairs and resection.

Mr Niculescu also performs hip replacement using a Piriformis sparing approach, which has a proven higher patient satisfaction. Additionally, he specialises in computer navigated knee replacement for knee joint deformities as well as complex joint reconstruction following previous surgeries.

He has obtained a certificate of completion of training in trauma & orthopaedics (CCT) from the British Orthopaedic Association. 

Mr Niculescu is also a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
