Mr Declan Collins is a leading consultant cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgeon who specialises in the treatment and management of burns and scars, as well as laser treatments. He practices privately at The Chelsea Wing, part of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. Mr Collins began the laser service from scar management at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and is currently the clinical lead for research at the hospital. 

After graduating from the University College London in 1998, earning his bachelor's of medicine and surgery, he began his higher surgical training in plastic surgery at numerous esteemed hospitals across the capital. During his training, he completed two fellowships; the first in burn surgery at The St Andrews’ Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, and the other in aesthetics at the King Edward VII Hospital. He was awarded his PhD for his investigation into wound healing and burn care from the University of London and in 2014, he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. 

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Collins is an honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College London. He is a member of various esteemed bodies, such as the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeon (BAPRAS), the British Burns Association (BBA), and the International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI).
