Dr Harsha Bilolikar is an exceptionally experienced consultant paediatrician who offers private paediatric services at the renowned clinics of The County Clinic and Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital.
Dr Bilolikar has dedicated more than 25 years to diagnosing and treating conditions in newborns, children and young people up to 18 years old. Over the course of his career, he has gained leading knowledge and expertise in all aspects of general paediatrics and subspecialist skill in managing paediatric allergies, including milk allergy and nut and food allergy and anaphylaxis. He is also an expert in eczema, urticaria, asthma and hay fever (allergic rhinitis) - diagnosis treatment including immunotherapy. He is the local lead for asthma, allergy, and tuberculosis. He has many years of experience in managing congenital hypothyroidism.
After qualifying as a paediatrician in 1987, Dr Bilolikar underwent further specialist training in paediatrics and neonatology in London teaching hospitals, where he conducted research into asthma. In 2001, he was appointed as a consultant paediatrician at Kettering General Hospital, where he established a paediatric asthma and allergy service.
Dr Bilolikar is also committed to the teaching and training of future specialists. He has been an examiner for Royal College examinations in paediatrics for more than 10 years and an educational supervisor for doctors in training. Furthermore, he has been a neonatal life support instructor for over 8 years. He is also a passionate researcher and has participated in multicentric research trials in paediatrics while working as a consultant.
