Dr James Teo is one of London's leading Consultant Neurologists with more than 15 years of experience as a medical professional. After studying Physiology and Pre-clinical medicine at Oxford Univeristy, he undertook his postrgaduate medical training at some of the south's most prestigious hospitals, including the Royal Marsden Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, and Univerisity College London Hospital. He completed a PhD in Clinical Neurology at the UCL Institute of Neurology before further honing his skills working at some of the best clinics in London.
His specialties include Parkinson's Disease, neurorehabilitation, stroke, and brain injury. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed papers, and was awarded an honorable mention for his submission to the Michael J Fox Parkinson's Data Challenge. His submission, based on his research on the use of smartphones for people with Parkinson's, was the start of a long journey into the world of digital technology and health, leading him to where he is today. At the cutting edge of his field, he is a man of innovation employing the use of wearables and other technologies to maximise his patient care.
