Mr Peter Rimington

Mr Peter Rimington is a leading consultant urologist with over 30 years of experience in his specialty. His areas of expertise include robotic prostatectomy, robotic cystectomy, TURP, erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer management and bladder cancer therapy.

Mr Rimington currently practises privately at Old Orchard Consulting Rooms in Eastbourne. He also has decades of experience in the NHS, and has been a consultant urologist at Eastbourne District General Hospital since 2000.
 
Mr Rimington is experienced in minimal access surgery and laparoscopy, especially for prostate and bladder cancer, and was the first urological surgeon in the UK to perform laparoscopic cystectomy and ileal conduit formation, before going on to assist Guy's Hospital in setting up their robotic cystectomy service.
 
Since 2015, Mr Rimington only performs robotic-assisted pelvic surgery using the Da Vinci system. He has performed over 800 prostatectomies and 300 radical cystectomies.
 
Mr Rimington continues to develop innovative urological surgical techniques, and is keenly involved in research in his field. He has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is also an instructor on a number of national and international courses in laparoscopic urology.
