Ms Tahmina Pearsall is an experienced consultant ophthalmologist with a special interest in complex cataract surgery and glaucoma. Ms Pearsall offers a full range of procedures for glaucoma treatment ranging from traditional surgical options such as trabeculectomy and tube surgery to minimally-invasive surgical techniques and laser surgery. She also runs a general ophthalmology service covering minor operations and all aspects of emergency care.
After qualifying from the University of Manchester in 1993, Ms Pearsall underwent extensive training in centres of excellence such as Moorfields Eye Hospital, St Thomas’ and Addenbrooke's (Cambridge). She was previously Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Lead Clinician for glaucoma at Whipps Cross University Hospital. She is currently Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Surrey and Sussex Hospital. She provides lectures to other physicians in formal ophthalmology courses. She has been appointed as an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmology, London, and her research has won prizes both nationally and internationally.
