Mr Val Sharma is a leading dentist and oral and maxillofacial surgeon in London, Ipswich and Slough who specialises in oral reconstruction surgery, TMJ disorder, skin cancer and regenerative medicine.

In 1998 Mr Sharma graduated from the Welsh National School of Dentistry having already gained an honours degree in Head and Neck Anatomy and Embryology from Cardiff University in 1995.

Having worked in both the hospital setting and general dental practice for three years, Mr Sharma’s interest in head and neck, plastic and reconstructive surgery led him to pursue a hospital-based career. His special interest in oral surgery and implant dentistry was developed during several oral and maxillofacial surgery posts, as well as undertaking a period of research at the University of California, San Francisco.

Mr Sharma graduated in Medicine from Glasgow in 2001 and carried out his surgical training at some of the most prestigious centres for surgical excellence in the UK. He was awarded dual fellowships to the Royal College of Surgeons of England, picking up several awards and prizes along the way.

Mr Sharma is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He remains dedicated to the alleviation of oral and maxillofacial deformity and pathology especially in the developing world and is actively setting up a program and service to address these issues in the West Indies.
