Mr Mohammed Anabtawi is a highly respected consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon and head and neck surgeon based in Sheffield. He is renowned for his expertise in wisdom teeth, jaw and facial pain and dental implants. He additionally specialises in jaw correction surgery (orthognathic surgery), salivary gland surgery, oral cancer and head and neck reconstruction, as well as facial aesthetics and facial cosmetic surgery.
Mr Anabtawi is dual registered as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery with the General Medical Council and as a specialist in oral surgery with the General Dental Council. He completed both a medical degree and a dental degree at the University of Jordan before undertaking work in the Middle East where he gained invaluable experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, facial aesthetics and dental implantology. Following his relocation to the UK, he undertook further surgical training and served as a consultant at the Cornwall Royal Hospital and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. During this period, Mr Anabtawi additionally completed a Master’s in oral and maxillofacial surgery and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2021, he was appointed as a consultant in oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgical oncology and reconstruction at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Additional to his clinical responsibilities, Mr Anabtawi is actively involved in medical education and is an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leeds. Mr Anabtawi was amazing - the day he did my surgery was one of the most horrible days of my life and he got me through it emoionally and dentally! My detnal work came after traumatic accident on a bike and Mr Antwabi was able to speed things along safely in time for my wedding!
