He also participated in the first research into AIDS-related conditions at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 1984.
 
Dr Bonazzi has demonstrated his versatility in the practice of dermatology, tackling unique challenges such as forensic dermatology, the diagnosis and study of patomimias, as well as the treatment of skin diseases in situations of war and chemical-biological-nuclear danger at the Padua Military Hospital in 1987.
