Professor Stephen Franks

Professor Stephen Franks is a leading reproductive endocrinologist in London who holds a particular interest in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in relation to both reproductive and metabolic problems. He is a professor at Imperial College Faculty of Medicine and a consultant endocrinologist at St Mary's and Hammersmith Hospitals. 

Professor Franks’ work and research centres around problems related to reproductive health and ovarian disorders and therefore he works very closely with gynaecological colleagues.

Professor Franks is a former chairman for the Society for Endocrinology UK and currently sits on their clinical committee. He is a long-term member for the Society of Reproduction and Fertility.

Professor Franks is a fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Uppsala, Sweden. He is a former editor of the journal Clinical Endocrinology.
